Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or CNA strongly preferred but not required.
• One year or more experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid NYS driver’s license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement person-centered services for individuals and ensure goals and outcomes are met.
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, lifts and transfers, dining, dressing and meal preparation.
• Promote community inclusion and help individuals participate in activities.
• Assist in administering medications per instructions, under supervision.
• Support health and safety, attend staff meetings and trainings for professional growth.
• Transport individuals or assist them in using public transportation.
• Maintain positive communication with family members, advocates and service providers.
