Job summary

Friendship Community Care in Arkansas seeks a Direct Support Professional to work on an interdisciplinary team delivering quality services in home and community settings. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, transportation, documentation, and care planning.

The role emphasizes respectful, confidential care, adherence to plans of care, medication guidelines, and safety. Requires a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and ability to work a flexible schedule across days

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
Two+ years experience with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Assist Clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
Provide transportation to activities and appointments with a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
Maintain accurate documentation including behavioral and incident reports, progress notes, and required forms.
Follow the client’s Plan of Care and monitor medication procedures.
Organize recreational activities and model professional conduct per policy.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; support facility and vehicle maintenance.
Attend training and continue education; may drive personal vehicle when needed.
