Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional to work with individuals in home and community settings. You will assist with daily living tasks, transportation, and documenting care plans while upholding safety and confidentiality.

You will follow the client’s plan of care, support health and well-being, and provide recreational activities. A valid Arkansas driver’s license is required for transportation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or two+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living tasks (showering, dressing, housekeeping, meals).
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain communication via logs and meetings about client progress.
• Complete required documentation accurately (reports, forms, logs).
• Follow medication management guidelines and document procedures.
• Organize and lead recreational activities for clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support plan of care and safety in home and community settings.
• Support facility and vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Attend trainings and maintain liability insurance as required.
