Job summary

In Good Company is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, meal preparation, and accompany clients to activities, appointments, and outings, while following individualized care plans and safeguarding the well‑being of clients.

Full‑time and part‑time positions are available, with paid training and ongoing support from a caring team.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but training provided.
• Patient and dependable with strong communication and judgment.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks and maintaining a respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals in homes and communities
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care and meal preparation
• Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings
• Follow individualized care and behavior support plans as directed
• Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)
• Document services accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements
• Communicate regularly with families and care team about needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, person-centered environment at all times
