Job summary

Arc of Acadiana in Bossier City, LA seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with daily living activities and safety supervision. You will help with meals, personal care, documentation, and transport in a shared living environment.

The role offers shifts including evenings, nights and weekends, with CMA training within six months and ongoing guidance from Home Managers. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required when transportation support is assigned.
• Able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Dependable, caring, and able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in direct care preferred but not required.
• Able to follow instructions and use good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Encourage independence and participation with supervision.
• Provide safety supervision and respond to emergencies.
• Assist with meal preparation and food service.
• Complete required documentation and shift reports.
• Transport residents as needed using agency vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of facilities.
