Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Waynesville and surrounding areas. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments after meeting 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication, and encourage independence.
