Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in North Carolina. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Abound Health is a mission-driven company with over 20 years in the space. Starting pay is $16.00-$19.00/hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours/week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass background checks and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to provide personal care when needed.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintenance of schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
