Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and communities in North Carolina. You will support daily living activities, provide personal care, and help clients stay engaged in meaningful tasks.

This entry-level role offers flexible Monday–Friday hours, with positions based in East Bend or Winston-Salem. Training is provided, and you will work with a compassionate team dedicated to empowering people to live their best lives.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care in the client’s home and community.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize client schedules.
• Document daily activities in the electronic health record.
