Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Dining Services Server to provide prompt, courteous service to residents and guests in the dining room during meal times, including serving, bussing, cleaning, and supporting meetings and special events.

Responsibilities include food prep assistance, setting up for meals and meetings, maintaining sanitation, reading instructions, and upholding safety standards; requires a high school diploma and a current Food Handler’s

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Must read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices.
• Must be cordial and congenial with residents.
• Must be dependable, detail oriented, organized, and have good follow through.
• Must be able to follow standard policy and procedures with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables.
• Serve Breakfast, lunch and dinner to residents, guests and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro; bus and reset tables as needed.
• Prepare salad bar items for lunch; set up for meetings or events with snacks, coffee, and tea.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness of prep items.
• Open and close dining rooms as needed.
