Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Dining Services Server in Grand Rapids, MI. You will provide prompt, courteous service to residents and guests during meals, perform serving, bussing and light prep, and assist with meetings and events requiring dining services.

Requirements include a current Food Handler’s Permit and a preference for 1 year of food service experience.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit is required.
• Training in SERV Safe is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to residents, guests and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro.
• Assist in setting up meetings and special events with snacks, coffee and tea.
• Prepare salads, desserts and light prep for events as directed.
• Open/close dining rooms and maintain cleanliness of prep and dining areas.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and safety practices per state and organizational standards.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and dress code compliance.
