Job summary

Avamere Living in Gresham, OR is seeking a Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living, and/or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, set up and clear tables, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area for residents and guests.

The role requires weekend availability, willingness to work part- or full-time, and comfort with ASL/Tactile Sign Language to support a Deaf/DeafBlind community.

Qualifications

• Experience with high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local health department.
• Friendly, attentive demeanor and professional conduct with residents and guests.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly in memory care settings.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly and courteously delivering food and beverages to residents, presented attractively.
• Providing attentive, friendly service and checking on residents during meals.
• Setting up dining room before meals and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
• Clearing tables after meals and resetting them for the next service.
• Taking and delivering room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Being familiar with the menu and answering questions about food and dietary needs.
• Interacting with residents and guests in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Following all food safety and hygiene procedures for storage and sanitation.
• Collaborating with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Disposing of food and waste per established policies.
