Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living is seeking a courteous, patient dining server to provide meals to residents at table side with a friendly, efficient approach. This universal role includes cross-training in other positions as directed by the Community Executive Chef and Management Team.

You will greet residents, take and deliver orders, assist with opening packages, and help set and clear tables, while maintaining safety and customer service excellence in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to present meal alternatives to residents and guests.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Meets state health-related requirements.
• CPR and first aid certification as necessary to fulfill state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greets residents (and visitors) at table and takes orders or serves.
• Delivers meals to kitchen and to resident apartments as needed.
• Sets and cleans dining tables; busses and vacuums dining room.
• Maintains food handlers permit and adheres to safety protocols.
• Attends training and adheres to company policies and standards.
