Job summary

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Portland, OR is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. You will help serve meals, maintain a clean dining area, and ensure residents receive timely, friendly service in a compassionate environment.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn. A high school diploma and an Oregon Food Handler Card are required or obtainable. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Oregon Food Handler Card or ability to obtain.
• Previous food service or senior living experience is a plus, but not required.
• We are happy to train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, setting up, and serving meals to residents.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and help create a positive dining experience.
• Prepare meal trays, snacks, beverages, and nourishments according to resident needs.
• Assist with delivering meals and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Clear tables, collect meal trays, wash dishes, and operate dishwashing equipment.
• Monitor dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer concentrations as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment.
• Clean and sanitize food prep surfaces, equipment, and work areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and manage general kitchen cleaning.
• Receive and properly store groceries and food supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work closely with cooks and dietary leadership to provide excellent resident care.
• Participate in ongoing training and assist with other dietary duties as needed.
