Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Portland, OR is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. You’ll help prepare, serve, and refresh meals for residents in our assisted living and memory care communities, ensuring a clean, welcoming dining environment.

We value a positive attitude, teamwork, and attention to safety. No formal culinary experience is required—training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in food service or senior living is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, setting up, and serving meals to residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and help create a positive dining experience for residents.
• Prepare meal trays, snacks, beverages, and nourishments according to resident needs.
• Assist with delivering meals and ensuring residents receive their meals accurately and on time.
• Clear tables, collect meal trays, wash dishes, and operate commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Monitor and document dishwasher temperatures and sanitizer concentrations as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, refrigerators, and work areas.
• Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, and assist with general kitchen cleaning.
• Receive and properly store groceries and food supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Work closely with cooks, dietary leadership, and other departments to provide excellent resident care.
• Participate in ongoing training and assist with other dietary duties as needed.
