Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Supervisor and Cook in meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents in an assisted living setting. The role emphasizes sanitary conditions, safety, and a respectful environment for all residents.

The position requires English literacy, flexible availability including weekends and holidays, and the potential to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications as needed by the community.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extra shifts.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean dining room before and after meals.
• Assist with basic meal preparation and service according to the menu.
• Help feed residents who need assistance following safe feeding practices.
• Maintain proper sanitation and safe handling of food and surfaces.
• Support a dignified, respectful, and caring atmosphere with residents, families, and staff.
• Respond promptly to resident dietary needs and requests.
