Job summary

Platinum Communities in Wisconsin seeks a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Supervisor and Cook in meal prep, service, and cleanup for residents in assisted living. You will help keep dining and kitchen areas clean, organized, and sanitary while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

You will set up and tidy the dining room, assist with basic meal prep and service, and support residents who need help with feeding, following safe practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays.
• CBRF/RCAC certification, if required by the community.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure around elderly and/or vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean dining room before and after meals.
• Assist with basic meal preparation and meal service according to the planned menu.
• Help feed residents/tenants who need assistance, following safe feeding practices.
• Practice and enforce proper sanitary food handling techniques and safe work habits.
• Clean kitchen and surfaces according to sanitation schedules.
• Support a dignified, respectful, and caring atmosphere with residents/tenants, families, guests, and team members.
• Promote a healthy, resident/tenant-focused environment by interacting cooperatively and compassionately with residents and tenants.
• Respond promptly and positively to resident/tenant and family requests and dietary needs.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
• Keep strict confidentiality regarding resident/tenant information, and company operations in compliance with HIPAA and Platinum Communities’ policies.
• Attend and actively participate in required meetings and in-service training opportunities.
• Follow all community policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
