Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. The role involves collaboration with the Dietitian, menu reviews, and ensuring timely meal service with proper portion control.

The position requires a high school diploma (preferred), an active Food Handlers Permit, and at least 1 year of dietary/food service experience. This is a full-time role, on-site in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit
• Must be 18 years of age
• One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to food preparation and prepares the meals.
• Works with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services and implements changes.
• Performs administrative requirements and submits forms/reports.
• Assists in establishing production lines to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepares meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary orders.
• Ensures proper portion control and sanitation during meal service.
• Maintains stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
