Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, OK is seeking an energetic Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals in line with resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Manager.

Ideal candidates have experience cooking for large groups, strong organizational and communication skills, and a caring attitude toward elderly residents. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits including health, dental, vision, life

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing foods in large quantities.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
• Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
• Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
• Perform Essential Duties as outlined above.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook resident meals in quantities according to menu and number of persons served.
• Prepare meals according to proper methods and cooking temperatures for best utilization and yield of meats and other foods.
• Clean work area and equipment in accordance with sanitation requirements.
• Taste, smell, and observe all foods prepared to confirm with recipes, and good taste and appetizing appearance.
• Consistently prepare meals on time so that serving schedules is being met.
• Serve food according to dietary guidelines, checking each tray for completeness and accuracy.
