Horizon Recuperative Care in El Monte, CA is hiring a Cook to assist the Culinary Services Director in preparing appealing, nutritious meals for residents and guests. You will follow safety and sanitation practices and maintain clean workspaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of food preparation experience in a healthcare or institutional setting. English proficiency and willingness to obtain required certifications are needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• At least two years’ experience with food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety, sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, healthcare facility, or institution.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Culinary Services Director in preparing salads, desserts, and meals on time.
• Contribute to community relationships by cooperating with residents, families, and vendors.
• Maintain sanitation and safety practices; read and follow production sheets and menus.
• Be available for weekend coverage and on-call rotations as needed.
• Read and follow instructions, recipes, menus, and labels accurately.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork with staff and residents.
