Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will work as part of a caring team, ensuring meals meet dietary needs and portion sizes, while maintaining clean dining areas and kitchen spaces.

This role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and positive resident interactions, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities. Certification such as ServSafe or Food Handler may be required by state law, and residency

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 30 pounds; push/pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
