Job summary

Healthcare Services Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will assist with food prep, serve meals, and help ensure safety and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.

You will work as part of a team, follow dietary guidelines, and provide friendly service to residents and staff. A high school diploma is preferred; ServSafe certification may be required by state; lift and stand for extended periods will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants, admin, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 30 pounds; push/pull up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks around food and cleaners.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
