Job summary

Healthcare Services Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow dietary guidelines, assist with clean-up, and contribute to a clean, safe dining environment.

You will work in a team, interact with residents and staff, and help ensure high standards of food safety and customer service. Prior food service experience is helpful, and ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Residency within service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
