Job summary

Paramount Care Centers is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Hudsonview Center team in Hudson Heights, NJ. The role involves performing food service tasks, maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas, and assisting in basic food preparation as needed.

The position emphasizes delivering compassionate service to residents, adhering to sanitation guidelines, and supporting daily operations in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand directions in English.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling is preferred.
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified, and serve aesthetically.

Responsibilities

• Reports at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty.
• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Is aware of safety regulations and responsibilities in operating all equipment.
• Delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining room, as instructed by supervisor.
• Serve – in dining rooms.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor.
• Ensures residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring atmosphere.
• Performs related work as assigned.
