Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support food service operations in the facility. The role involves learning routines quickly, setting up meals, and assisting with service and dishwashing under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a food handlers' certificate. Candidates should be able to follow recipes and work well with staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and assist when called upon by cook/dietary supervisor.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
