Job summary

Advanced Health Care of Allentown is seeking a Dietary Aide I to support nutritious meal preparation and dining services for residents. You will assist cooks, maintain sanitation, monitor temperatures, and help ensure high-quality dining experiences that meet dietary needs.

Responsibilities include meal setup, serving, cleaning, and collaborating with dietary staff to promote resident satisfaction while following safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent experience.
• Current certification from a nationally recognized food service and safety accrediting body.
• Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Strong time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of food, garnishes, snacks and beverages per approved menus.
• Coordinate with the cook to serve meals and uphold food safety procedures.
• Follow portion control, monitor temperatures and reduce waste.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and dishwashing according to schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Work with dietary staff during meals service to support resident satisfaction.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
