Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Utilizes standardized recipes to prepare menu items and ensure meals are appetizing.
• Delivers meals and snacks to designated areas on time.
• Maintains proper temperatures during preparation and service.
• Serves resident meals according to diet orders and preferences.
• Labels, dates and stores food properly.
