Zusammenfassung

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support our dialysis treatment team. You will assist with infection control, monitor vital signs, set up dialysis equipment, and help educate patients under RN supervision.

The position offers four 10‑hour shifts, Sundays off, and a paid 12‑week training with preceptor. Trainees receive comprehensive medical benefits and generous time off as part of our nonprofit mission-driven culture.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3‑month comprehensive education program, including classroom and hands-on training.

Aufgaben

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120‑day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional relationships, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
