Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean kitchen in line with safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior cooking/food prep experience is preferred. Vaccination policies must be followed, and applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work around food and cleaning products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred depending on state law.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and respect dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
