Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role includes supporting inventory and interacting with residents and staff to deliver excellent service. The position requires a High school diploma or equivalent, and preference for prior cooking experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
