Job summary

Green Acres Health & Rehab is seeking a Kitchen Helper to assist in daily meal preparation for residents. You will follow dietician plans, operate institutional kitchen equipment, and help maintain a clean, safe cooking area.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, applying portion controls, and assisting with diet changes while ensuring meals are served on schedule in a respectful, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow menus and dietary requirements.
• Experience with institutional kitchen equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals per dietician menus for each meal.
• Operates kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens and steamers.
• Maintains cleanliness and infection control throughout the shift.
• Ensures meals are served on time and portions are controlled.
• Reads menus, follows standardized recipes, and handles leftovers properly.
