Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a dedicated culinary team member to prepare meals per daily plans and standard recipes. You will also staff the food line during meals and uphold food safety and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas.

You will respond promptly to residents and guests, maintaining a positive, professional demeanor with all staff. Experience in production cooking or therapeutic diets is preferred, with English communication and basic computer skills required.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Willing to obtain necessary food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills; entry level Excel and Word proficiency required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems in variable situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using daily planner and SLC standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are met.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with residents and co-workers.
