Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a cook to prepare meals for residents, guests and staff according to daily planners and standard recipes. You will work the food line during meals and ensure all food meets safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Clear and effective English communication is required.
• Must obtain and maintain food handling and sanitation licenses as applicable.
• Basic computer skills; entry-level proficiency with Excel and Word required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to situations with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
