The role calls for a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience, and the ability to follow dietary requirements. Strong communication and a positive attitude are essential to succeed in this environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with staff and residents.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, bend for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food cleaning products.
• May need sanitation and safety course; ServSafe/food handler certification may be required.
• Residency within the service area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
