Job summary

Franklin Apartment Management, LTD in Johns Creek is seeking a caring Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents and guests in our assisted living community. The role features a dynamic, rotating mix of day and evening shifts, with advance notice to protect personal time.

You will supervise the kitchen under the Culinary Director, ensure meals meet local tastes, and maintain safety and cleanliness. The team values teamwork, kindness, and delivering excellent dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be flexible, detail-oriented, and have a sense of teamwork.
• Must possess current manager’s level food handler permit.
• Must be able to pass our Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; employees are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious and attractive food that is colorful and tastefully presented, making each meal service an exceptional occasion.
• Supervise the kitchen under the direction of the Culinary Director.
• Prepare high quality meals consistent with local customs and tastes; adhere to standard recipes, budgeted costs and company policies.
• Supervise and/or assist in the proper washing of all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils; maintain all kitchen equipment; monitor temperatures and chemical use to prevent illness.
• Approach residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
