Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care at Methodist Hospital. The role offers 24 or 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 6:45am to 7:15pm, requiring weekday availability and consistent scheduling.

You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, comfort, vital signs, and safety, while documenting care in Cerner or worksheets. Opportunities include incentive programs such as tuition assistance and free parking.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, cleaning, food service and/or patient related experience preferred.
• One to three months on the job experience to learn hospital procedures and work routines preferred.
• Previous experience in patient care setting such as hospital, clinic or nursing home preferred.
• Previous experience with direct patient contact preferred.
• Orientation and on the job experience will be provided to learn hospital procedures and work routines.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate patient care and communication.
• Gives individualized customer service/patient care.
• Completes age-specific competency assessment.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort; assists with ADL and transfers.
• Documents all data collected accurately in Cerner or worksheets.
• Performs housekeeping to keep a sanitary patient environment.
