Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant at the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center in Omaha, NE. Work schedule Tuesday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

The position supports patients with hygiene, daily living needs, and comfort, while assisting with treatment space and ensuring safety. You will document data in Cerner, participate in the care plan, help with ADLs, provide transportation, and collaborate with healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant preferred.
• State-approved Nurse Assistant course or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety; assists with mobility and transportation.
• Documents care provided in Cerner and other worksheets.
• Restocks supplies and maintains clean, safe patient areas.
