Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in our long-term care facility. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, aid transfers, and support mobility while adhering to infection control and safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification, and a willingness to obtain state certification within four months.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Maintains annual continuing education: 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Record and monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Assist with transfers,Positioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Support meals and hydration; assist with dining and nutrition.
• Document resident care and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection control policies and PPE guidelines.
