Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Anaconda, MT is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator. You will ensure the highest quality resident care by following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include resident rounds, ID verification before care or meals, bedside care, and assisting with daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license
• At least 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA class experience
• Genuine desire to care for the ill, aged and infirm
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must be patient, cheerful and empathetic toward residents
• Must be in good health with emotional stability
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and upset residents

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures and safety rules
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct care
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled within residents’ reach
• Other duties as directed by supervisory staff
