Qualifications

• Must hold a CNA license.
• At least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical CNA class experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures, nursing care rules and safety regulations.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled and within resident reach.
• Other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse or Administrator.
