Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to deliver routine resident care under the supervision of nursing leadership. The role focuses on patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to facility policies.

Responsibilities include completing rounds at shift start and every two hours, verifying resident identity before care or meals, and performing bed-making and sanitation tasks, while communicating effectively with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid certified nursing assistant license.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience while enrolled in CNA training.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and within resident reach.
• Carry out other duties as directed by nursing supervisor or administrator.
