Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification training.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Patience, tact, cheerfulness and enthusiasm in caring for residents.
• Must be in good health with emotional stability.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled and elderly residents including challenging behavior.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and within residents’ reach.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
