Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Salina, KS, is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision, ensuring residents receive quality, respectful attention throughout each shift.

You will perform rounds, verify resident IDs, assist with daily living activities, and maintain clean, safe environments, while communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff. A supportive team and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA license or be enrolled in CNA program.
• At least 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Good health and emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions or coordinator.
• Make beds and keep bedside/overbed tables clean.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled and reachable.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors.
