Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will assist with resident rounds, verify identities, and perform bedside care under the direction of Charge Nurses and Directors of Nurses or Administrators.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, emotional stability, and the ability to work well with ill, elderly, and disabled residents in a care facility environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties according to facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and filled and within reach.
• Other duties as directed by nursing leadership.
