Job summary

The Abbey in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per care plans and supervision. You will assist residents with daily activities, meals, and mobility, while maintaining accurate documentation and protected health information.

Shifts run 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11am-7pm. Must be a licensed CNA with CPR preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and care plans.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with management and residents.
• Ability to follow policies regarding exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Basic math for measuring and recording vital signs and meals.
• Must possess a valid CNA license and CPR certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care according to care plans.
• Identify residents before routines using wristband/photo ID.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets and charts.
• Assist with daily activities and meals.
• Escort and assist residents to rooms and manage transfers.
• Maintain resident room readiness and safety.
• Protect residents' privacy and report changes to supervisors.
