Job summary

St. Andrew Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct, hands‑on care to residents and support the nursing team in a safe, compassionate, and person‑ centered environment.

The CNA will assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and documentation, while upholding residents' dignity and preferences in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current, unencumbered CNA certification in Florida.
• Previous long‑term care/skilled nursing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents with or without assistance and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and other observations as directed.
• Accurately document care provided and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and home‑like environment for residents, families, and visitors.
• Support residents' dignity, preferences, and independence in accordance with care plans.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
