Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision in a Los Angeles facility. The CNA will perform standard duties, assist with daily activities, meals, and mobility, and ensure resident safety and comfort according to policy.

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a nursing assistant program or hold a CNA license, with at least 6 months of experience and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a nursing assistant program or licensed CNA.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Conduct resident rounds and assist with daily activities and meals.
• Verify resident identity before care and document observations.
• Dress, feed and assist residents with mobility and daily tasks.
• Ensure resident safety and cleanliness; respond to call lights promptly.
• Report concerns to Charge Nurse and follow up on orders.
• Attend training and participate in in-service education.
