Qualifications

• Must hold a license as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
• Minimum 6 months’ CNA experience or clinical experience during certification class.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Willingness to collaborate with other personnel.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and adaptability to residents’ levels of functioning.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to ill, elderly, and at times difficult residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality nursing care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions.
• Make beds and keep bedside/overbed tables clean.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled, and reachable.
