Qualifications

• Must hold a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical exposure during certification class.
• Must have a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents of varying maturity.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meal service.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and full within resident reach.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors or administrator.
