Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Chico, CA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision, ensuring high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing setting.

You must be enrolled in a nursing assistant program or licensed, with at least 6 months of CNA experience, and able to communicate in English. Duties include assisting with meals, personal care, hygiene, and daily activities while following facility policies.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class.
• Must possess the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.
• Assist in preparing residents for meals and feeding as necessary.
• Dress residents neatly and assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; report any hazardous conditions to the Charge Nurse.
• Attend in-service educational programs and other duties as directed.
• Report concerns and incidents to the Charge Nurse immediately.
