Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Oakland, CA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide quality resident care in a supportive facility. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and collaborate with nurses to ensure safety and comfort.

This role requires a CNA license or enrollment, ability to read and communicate in English, and a patient, respectful attitude toward residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in CNA program or licensed as CNA.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience in CNA class.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Able to deal tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals.
• Keep residents clean, assist dressing and meals.
• Assist in preparing residents for therapy, activities, and mobility.
• Report abuse or concerns to Charge Nurse immediately.
• Attend in-service programs and trainings.
